August 2025: Can’t Stay Away!
After a much needed breather following my year-long residency at Medalta, I am thrilled to announce that I’ll be returning to this amazing facility in September for a few more months! I’ll be undertaking a Flex residency to expand the World of the Watchers, playing with a new dioramic approach to world building, and experimenting with some novelty glazes as well. Be sure to follow my instagram to watch the project unfold.
May 2025: Exhibition Opening
I’m happy to announce the opening of my solo exhibition The Watchers on May 23rd at the Yuill Family Gallery, here in Medicine Hat, AB. The exhibition will run from May 23-July 12, and will happen alongside the exhibitions of my incredible fellow yearlong residents, Etty Anderson and Melanie Barnett. This project was made with support from the Canada Council of the Arts.
March 2025: Desert Residency
This month I’ll be taking a break from my time at Medalta to immerse myself in a whole new environment. I’ll be taking part in a three week residency with La Wakaya Current in the Atacama desert of Chile. Home to the some of the darkest skies in the world and the driest non-polar desert on the planet, I’ll be looking for new inspirations for my Watchers’ world. I’ll try to post some updates here once I’m back and have had a chance to process my experience.
September 2024
After almost 3 years in the UK, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be making my return to Canada as a yearlong artist-in-residence at Medalta. As the premier ceramics residency in the country, attending this program has been a dream of mine for a long time, and I can’t think of a better place to continue developing my new sculptural practice. I look forward to sharing how my practice unfolds over the coming months, so be sure to check back soon and to follow me on instagram.
